Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Margolio provides deadline tracking and reminder services for Philippine tax and government compliance obligations including BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG deadlines. The service generates compliance calendars, sends escalating reminders, and facilitates document collection between bookkeepers/CPAs and their SME clients.

2. Disclaimer of Tax Advisory Services

Margolio provides deadline tracking and reminders only. Margolio is not a BIR-accredited tax agent and does not constitute professional tax advice. The bookkeeper, CPA, or taxpayer remains solely responsible for:

• Verifying all deadline dates against the current BIR Tax Calendar and applicable Revenue Memorandum Circulars
• Ensuring the accuracy of all tax computations and filings
• Submitting returns and payments to the BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG on time
• Maintaining compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations

Margolio does not guarantee the accuracy of computed deadlines. Deadlines may shift due to holidays, BIR advisories, or Revenue Memorandum Circulars issued after the calendar was generated.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of client information you enter into Margolio, including Tax Identification Numbers, business classifications, and contact details.

4. Service Access Period and Payments

Access to Margolio is granted in 30-day (monthly) or 365-day (annual) blocks, purchased as a prepaid Service Access Period. Payments are processed locally via PayMongo Payments, Inc. Accepted methods include GCash, Maya, Visa, Mastercard, BPI, UnionBank, and QR Ph.

To give you full control over your business cash flow, we use a manual renewal system. Your account will not be automatically charged. We will notify you via email and an in-app banner before your access period expires. You must manually renew your access to continue using the service.

If an access period expires without renewal, your account will enter a past due state. Your data is preserved during any active access period and for 30 days after expiration to allow data export, after which access may be restricted.

5. Client Data and Confidentiality

Client information you enter into Margolio, including TIN numbers, business names, and financial details, is confidential. Margolio does not share client information with any third party except as described in our Privacy Notice for the purpose of providing the service.

You represent that you have the necessary authorization from your clients to enter their personal information into Margolio for the purpose of compliance tracking.

6. Document Uploads

Documents uploaded through shareable upload links are stored securely and accessible only to the bookkeeper/CPA who generated the upload link. Margolio does not review, audit, or modify uploaded documents. Files are validated for type (PDF, JPEG, PNG, XLSX) and size (maximum 10 MB) before storage.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, Margolio shall not be liable for any penalties, surcharges, interest, or compromise penalties imposed by the BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, or any other government agency as a result of missed, incorrect, or late filings. The bookkeeper or CPA using Margolio remains solely responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all government filings.

Margolio shall not be liable for service interruptions, delayed reminders due to email delivery failures, or inaccurate deadline computations resulting from changes in BIR rules not yet reflected in the system.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow data export, then permanently deleted.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Quezon City, Metro Manila.
